  • 1.  Serial Number Not Available

    A client using Standard 2015 (5.20.5.0) closed a work order which created an item, which was assigned a valid serial number,. However, when they attempt to invoice this item, the serial number isn't available to be selected. The record exists in the IM_ItemCost table.  Any ideas on how to make the serial number available in the distribution window?

    Make sure the Allocated Qty is 0

    I did check that field and it is 0.

    DFDM the record in IM_ItemCost. Look for missing value in Group Sort field.

    So last night the  client rebooted their server and terminal servers and today they were able to invoice the item with the "missing" serial number.  Unbelievable...

    I believe there is a utility you can run to clear out committed lots. I want to say you do file, run, *Utl to get to it. Note - batches should be posted before you do this and not sure if this would fix this specific issue but worth a shot.

    Pretty sure rebuild the IM sort files gives the option to clear committed items.
