Being part of a CPA firm, I strongly agree with Wayne's comment. As a policy, we do not get involved with any form or version that is not part of the software, and refer the client either to their CPA or to the appropriate partner or staff group at our firm.
Our bookkeeping group prepares payroll and 1099 forms using CFS Payroll software, but that company also has tax software/forms at
www.taxtools.com. One function is Fill-N-Print tax forms, including 1099's, corrections and zero forms. Most CPA firms will have something similar, but a client could also access this. It's 10 forms in this case, so the no cost option is typing them.
