Self-updating keys question. My understanding has been that Sage will self-update keys for 2015.5+ 2016.2+ 2017.0+ And that there should be a button to click on the registration screen labeled ""update"". I see that ""update"" button on my customer's 2016.4 system The button is not present on my (reseller keys) 2016.4 system (either on classic or standard UI) Do you see an update button on the keys registration screen for your system (with reseller keys) on one of the above versions?

Is the reseller key you have entered in Sage100 a ""c"" key or a perpetual key. I think the update button is only visible if you have Sage100C

I just did a Sage 100 2013 standard to 2017 standard upgrade last weekend. There was an update button in the system registration that needed to be clicked to get the Payroll expiration date to update in *info. So, the update is in 100 also.

I'm on 2016.2 & 2015.4. I do not have an Update Button on my local systems either. Has anyone heard what happens to the Resellers Payroll? Even if we apply the hotfix for Inquiry Mode (for non enrollers), we need a working copy of payroll as consultants!

I believe resellers have to calculate the payroll taxes manually and cut AP checks until Sage figures out what to do.... Hopefully by August 1... The final final enrollment date prior to the next extension.

In the meantime, download and install the IRD, ttu, pu 6-12 and all of the hot fixes. If you still can't enter payroll call tech support, wait on hold for 30 minutes and they will schedule a call back next week with someone that may be able to help as long as you have upgraded in the last 18 months.

ET appears to phone home on the first of the month. Client started experiencing issues yesterday. Threw the towel this AM and call the help desk here at the BLS World HQ. When ET phoned in for the update, registration keys were downloaded. They went from 7 user licenses to three. Very hard to maintain efficiency standards when less than half your team can be on the system and at any one time. I suggested that it might be easier if they would implement a second shift than to get Sage to fix the keys quickly. I then added that I was just joking. But in reality, I wasn't!!!

I sent a note to the sales advisor and they punted to tech support.... Didn't fell like talking to them so I posted a support case on the portal. First ever! What is everyone's experience with communicating with Sage this way?

Per Ronnie Aspe @ Sage, NFR keys will not see the update button. The button is hidden fro products keys with NFR but we still need the patch discussed in KB 82689.
