Secret sauce for installing the CS ODBC service? V2015 Adv. Installed the service as outlined in the attached guide. Service is set to automatically start up upon reboot. Problem is that it is not restarting automatically. Any thoughts?

I have never been brave enough to tackle it to be honest. I would love a 90 Minds lunch session on it.

This is the second time I have experienced this. The first was on the BLS server a year ago. At the time, I installed it using a UNC path, not a mapped drive. Reinstalling via a mapped drive resolved it on my side. For this installation, I installed via a mapped drive. So it would seem there is another step missing. I actually like the performance boost. It works well when it works.

I have it running on 2014 Advanced, but I ended up using the user ID of the Sage 100 service instead.

Does it successfully start manually each time you try? Maybe try Automatic (Delayed) for the service and a proper domain user as the service account.

Agree with using the Sage 100 service ID. I use this ID for all Sage related services. Yes @SteveIwanowski it does power up when manually restarted. The Sage service starts automatically without issue.
