Yes, SData is available for that Sage 100 version (2017) and can be utilized to integrate the external application. And it is accessible through REST API. It is also true that SData support has been discontinued by Sage (a long time ago) but Greytrix has had a very long relationship with Sage and is ok with Sage's policy of discontinuing support for SData (doesn't matter to Greytrix). If the integration is build using SData rest webservices, the solution is more robust and provided the option to move additional fields of data in the future without any major modifications. Transversely, if you build an integration using the Business Objects Interface, there becomes a dependency on the developer to modify the code for additional data movement in the future. With the BOI approach, there can be a world of pain if/when future changes are required.
Based on my experience working with Greytrix & their integration, I would like to state that they have built several very strong features, such as getting the real-time Sage pricing while creating an order from within the CRM system (SFDC, MS CRM, Sage CRM). I am not sure any of the other development partners in the market could support these critical features such as (a) viewing ERP records in real-time from within the CRM, and/or (b) fetching real-time pricing as per business rule while creating orders in CRM Systems.
I would encourage any Sage 100 partner reviewing the best SFDC integrations to Sage 100 to read the reviews section in the SDFC app exchange. Consumers of the Greytrix integration have provided glowing compliments on Greytrix's support for their integration.
