  • 1.  Scrolling News Feed in Sage 100 Launcher

    @Wayne Schulz recently posted a FAQ in his weekly newsletter about the annoying Scrolling News Feed from Sage that can't be turned off.  True it can't be turned off, but I have been training my users to go into the Web Content menu, and Open the RESOURCE Tab.  That then opens "on top" of the annoying screen and users are much happier.  If the "faces" on their desk top are also annoying, then have them open the Business Insights Dashboard Instead.  Great Newsletter Wayne!

    I also wrote up this as a suggestion prior to publishing. There should also be a way to lock down the launcher ( option ) to prevent drag and drop changes to the look/feel. If I had a dollar for every call I've taken from a user who doesn't know how their screen wound up looking different...:

    And while I'm on a rant - why do we still need three separate SPM???

    Let's consolidate those into one and publish it as a direct link online so we can send the official Sage document link to IT and not have to worry that in six to twelve months when the company is FINALLY ready to upgrade that the SPM might be stale and we have to download and send another pdf to IT.

    Another option: click and drag the section divider to the right, essentially hiding the web content entirely.
