Scanco Response to my specific questions:
1. Can you provide us the details how to advice clients the steps to "disable automatic updates"?
Sure. Android and iOS both:
Android:
You can also disable automatic updates for your Android apps by doing the following:
1. Open the Google Play Store
2. Select your Google account profile picture
3. Select Settings
4. Select Network Preferences
5. Select Auto-Update apps
6. Select Don't auto-update apps
7. Select Done
iOS:
To disable automatic app updates on iOS, you can do the following:
1. Open Settings
2. Navigate to iTunes & App Store
3. Scroll to the Automatic Downloads section
4. Toggle Updates to OFF
2. What happens if at a specific client, some workstations are updated and some are not?
Catastrophe, not really, but it's not ideal. All devices should be on the same version to ensure stability. Each version release like this is directly connected to a Connectit Service Upgrade.
3. Is there an update for any Server Components to be pushed out to clients?
Yes, once the applications update, and only if they update it will trigger ConnectIt to update as well.
4. What does "starting December 11th" mean; is it being done at a particular date/time of the week? Is it based on client location, product, etc.?
We say starting on December 11th because Android and iOS both have "App Approval" process and sometimes its 12 hours, sometimes it's 10 days, and there is no rhyme or reason for it.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!!
