SCA Assessment Failed! I was informed about 2 weeks ago that I need to take the Consulting assesment and the technical assessment by tomorrow in order for I-BN to be in compliance as a VAR. So today I sat down and took the test (without taking the class as I have always done) for the Consulting test to discover that it is not a test of ability to knowledge but one of terminology and money. Attached is the test and the results, where I scored a 50%. Some I can clearly fix my answers (True & False) and some I can likely reason through process of elimination. The bottom line is I object to this test and seek assistnace in passing it without taking the academy. I have nothing against the academy and if we weren't so busy getting back our Gold status (on both SAP and Sage now) I might actually send someone. But this is a complete mockery of the purpose of having skilled consultants.

Does anyone know the steps i a consulting process (my second question)? Or their correct order (#19) How about the three constraints that make up the ""triple constraint triangle of truth""? Or someone resiting using ""moralizing"" and what they might say #20? Or someone resisting using ""sudden health""? The old way is working? #29 Or the expert consulting role #30? With these I think I can pass, unless I get other stupid questions.

#29 is The old way is working. You do realize, Ed did his best to make the test difficult to pass on purpose?

Not that I would ever ask assistance, just confirmation that all of the following apply Which of the following are considered consulting tools? (Select all that apply.) Scope document Project charter High level budget Issues list

And clearly the first answer is correct, unless it is the third. My sales people give me a budget that the customer has because we follow BANT. Fill in the blanks: The two documents consultants can expect from the salesperson at a hand-off meeting are ____________ and ______________. High level budget, Summary of findings Needs analysis, High level budget List of contacts, Needs analysis Needs analysis, Summary of findings

Another question which appears to be false is... The three processes defined under the customer process are the sales process, the marketing process, and the project documentation process. TrueFalse

Damn a lot of new questions: Which of the following are elements of a scope document? (Select all that apply.) Project benefits A training schedule Roles definition Functional requirements I chose 3&4 but #1 could also be included. I would not put a schedule but a list of what is included for training.

I am really frustrated by the BS The two types of questions that consultants concern themselves with are ____________ and ______________. How, What Why, What What, Why Who, How I often ask Why do you do that? How do you do that? Who does that today? What is the purpose of doing that?

The collaborative consulting role is associated with which of the following customer role: Share equal responsibility Judge and evaluate from a close distance Judge and evaluate after the fact Act on behalf or in place of a manager I am answering #2 since that was not the expert consulting role even though I would deduce #1

OMFG Someone who is resisting using ""intellectualizing"" might say: In theory? rather than... Those people Don't keep my people long. The old way is working! I don't disagree with you. based upon what robert said above.

Compliance is ""I don't disagree with you"". Intellectualizing is ""In Theory"". You do realize it's been 8 years since I went to the SCA?

Last one... which I don;t consider any answer to be correct... An example of an objective is: Payroll must be run every Thursday without fail Install the software on the required computers Oversee the project manager Current customer master data Implement software before January 1 for a price of $10,000 An objective might be to reduce close from 7 days to 3, or to reduce stock outs by x%
