SalesOrderHistoryHeader file somehow ended up with 6000+ lines of data with no Sales Order number. I'm not worried about the data, the order date tells me they are ancient. I just want those lines gone. I tried Rebuild, Optimize and everything else but they will not delete. Customer is on Advanced, not Premium, so short of deleting one by one in DFDM, are there any other choices out there? TIA

Could you try the purge utility? Not sure if they require a Sales Order #, but if they just look at the date, you could purge the old ones? Maybe copy to a test company if they think they will need the orders that will go with it?

Thanks Michelle. I think the purge is what caused it. I purged about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately I just looked at the SOHistoryDetail file as well and found many more in there with no SO Numberl. The Detail file has no date that I can select by..

bummer. There is a VI import so SO_SalesOrderHistory... You could try copying to a test company, export to excel, reinitialize and reimport? Then maybe the Rebuild Key Files would recognize the detail files as bogus and delete? If it works just rinse and repeat in live? The Key field for the history file is just the SO#, so it should create them pretty easily?

I wouldn't import directly to AR History. In a test company, import to SO_InvoiceHeader and SO_InvoiceDetail then update the sales journal and copy over AR_InvoiceHistoryHeader and AR_InvoiceHistoryDetail. If you can export the bad keys it would be a reasonably straightforward ProvideX utility program to REMOVE the records.

Any chance you could post a DFDM screen shot of 1 of the bad records? BTW do all 6000+ have the same DateCreated / TimeCreated OR DateUpdated / TimeUpdated
