  • 1.  Sales Tax Exemption numbers not copying to new shi

Sales Tax Exemption numbers not copying to new ship-to address. v4.4.0.8. A client reports that since they upgraded to v4.4 (from 4.2) that exemption numbers do not copy to new ship-to codes. The tax schedule defaults in, but the exemption number is absent. In this case, there is only one tax code in the schedule. It's inconsistent - I tested one customer and it copied over, and one customer it didn't. Both of the customers have been in their system since before the upgrade. Anyone had this experience?

Wasn't there some type of warning/heads up regarding exemption #'s in the migration guidelines. Something to do with blank fields. Sounds very familar...

The only thing I found in the guidelines was the age-old warning to make sure there are no blanks, like you say. In any case, Sage has invited me to open a case on this.

Keep us posted. Could be another conversion issue like the reports folder not being copied over.

I believe @JohnShaver and I ran into this bug when we were upgrading his MAS SQL 3.74 client to MAS SQL 4.45.

Similar but not exactly the same. This customer has sales tax turned off. When we made the jump from 3.74 back to 3.71, the migration utility made the assumption that since sales tax was turned off it would ignore the exemption numbers. The customer fixed it in 4.45 with a SQL script.
