  • 1.  Sales Order Invoice Printing Issue

    v2021 PU 1 with Operation Management, Avalara, APS CC; went live Monday.  New problem today.  For most "sales order invoices", when they try and "quick print", they get the message "The file is empty or does not match filter".  Even with a fresh form we have this issue.  From SO Printing, the error is "Batching is not allowed for the current task".  We have found one or two of their 64 batches work fine.  But the majority have one or both of these error messages.  

    APS did connect last night and fix the CC problem we were experiencing.  But we have this inconsistent issue with both CC processed orders and with out any payment applied.  Can someone help point me where to check?  Nothing in Sage Knowledgebase for either error found. 

    Also, if I try to open the temporary work file, I get a "you need permission" message; which i believe is part of my problem.

    Did you do all the hot fixs for Ops Management for this release? I ask because I remember reading there was a fix for a similar issue on an older version of Sage. Scanco usually has a lot of hot fixes so i would check there if you haven't already. Sorry - if this captain obvious. Just sharing.

    Not sure if you resolved this already but we had the same issue a few month back. For us it was with Invoice History Printing but same exact message and also using APS. We renamed the file  ..MAS90\AR\AR_531APSInvoiceHistoryPrinting_RPT.PVC to .BAD so the printing program defaulted back to using the standard Sage100 logic. I suspect in your case you can rename the Invoice printing program. APS is aware but as far as i know never fixed it.

    @Kenny Daniel  Thanks.  I just posted that this is resolved.  I had to change the Sequence Numbers for SO Invoice Printing so that APS was the lowest number; from what I understand.  This change resolved the issue.  APS was informed this is what I did to fix it, and they never responded. ​

    This is Resolved.

    I have modified the Sequence Numbers for the SY_ClassEnhancment.SO_InvoicePrinting_RPT so that the JobOps (Operations Management Developer 158; is "last" in the sequence.  I changed them from 001 to 700.

     

    I also modified the Sequence Numbers for the SY_ClassEnhancment.AR_InvoiceHistoryPrinting.RPT so that the JobOps (Operations Management Developer 158; is "last" in the sequence.  I changed them from 001 to 700.

     

    In my limited testing tonight, this has resolved the problems with the following problems:

    When printing from Quick Print, Sales Order Invoice we get message:  The file is empty or does not match filter.

    When printing from the menu, and selecting a batch to print, we get the message:  Batching is not allowed for the current task.

    When printing from Invoice History orders updated after APS was reinstalled, we get the message:  The    is invalid
