  • 1.  Sales Order History Purge Files

    Good afternoon,
    Can one of you MD's tell me all of the data files which records are zapped from when you run the Purge Order/Quote History from Sales Order Utilities, in addition to the obvious SO_SalesOrderHistoryHeader and SO_SalesOrderHistoryDetail files?  Yes .... a customer of mine accidentally ran that purge instead of purging expired quotes, so I get to have a little VI fun recreating the purged records from a backup.  WHOOOP.

    (I'd just run the purge in a test company and look at the file modified dates to see what was updated... assuming your customer is not Premium).  With enhancements, an answer based on default Sage tables might miss something that exists on the customer system.

    Great suggestion @Kevin Moyes.  In my testing the following files are affected:
    SO_SalesOrderHistoryHeader
    SO_SalesOrderHistoryDetail​
    SO_SalesOrderHistoryTaxSummary
    SO_SalesOrderHistoryTaxDetail
    SO_InvoiceHistoryLink
    SO_SalesOrderHistoryMemo

    I also confirmed that it does not purge work ticket history (should it - yes, but in this case it was a plus that it didn't).  I verified after I reimported the Header and Detail files, that I was able to drill to WT History.
