    Hey techies,

    What is the purpose of the .... \lib\_repository\..... folders in Sage100 Advanced

    Client's Sage 100 service was stopped by an aggressive AV setting (pvxwin32.exe was quarantined).  I suggested that it was an AV issue on the pvxwin32.  They did confirm.  

    IT Support got their security team to flag it as a false positive and then a technician restored the exe from this location:   C:\Sage\Sage100\v2023\MAS90\Home\Lib\_repository\wsc7.20\app\any\Home

    The technician noticed there was a copy of the original exe in that location, so they copied it back to where it needed to be

    It almost appears that files are placed there during PU installations as a backup?

    I've never touched those files before. 

    If it were me I would not be guessing.  If they do not have a full system backup to restore from (with the actual files being restored from the exact correct path), I would do a proper system repair (and re-install of PU, hotfixes, and enhancements), after they confirm the full list of AV exceptions (according to the Sage KB) are in place.
