    SageCRM - Does the integration to outlook for the calendar work only with the outlook client or can it connect to the exchange server, if there is one? Reason I am asking is a client might be running EES but the end users may not have a workstation up all the time to update the calendar when someone schedules for them. They want to have the outlook calendar updated if they are on site and use their iPhone.

    @JohnnyPabian Do you know if I am right in saying that if you use SageCRM embeded Email that you can send out as an alias but if you use the send out as outlook that it will only send it as the user you have setup in outlook (or use send as feature in outlook but doesn't use the alias in SageCRM)?

    Interesting. I would think it woudn't matter if an email alias was used. can't you pick which email method sends the mail you've created? if you click on outlook to send does it overwrite the ""from"" and ""reply to"" info? I can't test outlook on my system.

    I tried it in my test and it didn't work. It worked with embedded but not the outlook. Instead my outlook always sent as the user it was setup to be, not the alias. Do you think I have something setup wrong?

    Have you tried posting on the SageCRM community? This is an issue I need to follow as it will be coming up with one of our clients soon. they plan to migrate from ACT!. the use of the use of the alias feature is important because assistants send out mail on behalf of the sales people. The salespersons name needs to be in the ""from"".

    I have not posted on the community about this yet. I might later on. In our case they don't need to have sent mail populated if the email is already in CRM so sending via outlook doesn't appear to be an issue.
