Sage website re-design is live. As promised in an email yesterday from EVP Marketing Gabie Boko, Sage today have updated their North American website. The link is http://www.sage.com and since that is also the corporate site I'm guessing you are redirected based on the country of your ISP. Definitely an improvement. The harsh overuse of dark greens is gone in place of lots of white space and images. The products names are de-emphasized unless a user really drills into the website. This type of re-design is extremely important because it gives a glimpse into Sage NA product and service priorities. Clearly Sage One and Sage 50 have received top billing as they are the only accounting packages to appear by name without drilling deeply into the site. SageERP X3 is grouped with the other Sage ERP products though in a quick overview Sage seems to use pull quotes and other links to guide a visitor to the ERP x3 product should they have no other preference. The executive page has also been cleaned up and features more candid type photos and folksy background info about each executive. Overall I think this is an excellent design move for Sage.

Visually its fresh (although there is getting to be a mass move towards this particular style by everybody and I think it will begin to look dated in a year or two), but you have to have alot of patience to find what you are looking for. It's not very SEO friendly but a company this large probably doesn't have to worry about that too much. However, its like 5 to 6 navigations deep to get to any products and even then there is very little meat that's meaningful to a potential purchaser. One word...Fluffernutter...

You only need 2 clicks to get to the knowledge base. You don't even have to logon......

Pretty generic looking. They hide their products well. Wouldn't guess Sage emphasizes ERP from this site.

Sage does as good job of narrowing their focus. Instead of a prospect being met with a laundry list of products - they're met with Sage's lead online offerings. SageOne, Sage 50, Sage Payments, Sage Mobile. It's Sage's attempt to be more modern and look like a newish company vs one that has been around 30 years with a hodge podge of on premises software. I bet Sage's research shows that by now people looking for ERP (higher level) solutions are either contacting partners directly or don't need as much prompting from a Sage presence.
