PEP is one that I automatically shut off for the client. It's history has been too flaky (as you have just experienced) to warrant leaving it on. Of course, my clients will call me instead of trying the on line chat support. FWIW, I install v2014 last night and many users were complaining today about sluggishness. We rebooted all the servers and things sped up again. Of course, last night was a big MSFT patch release.
