    Hi everyone,

I have just found out about SAGE Transform and the dates next year.  Unfortunately, it has a slight conflict with our conference (because why not).

It is scheduled in Las Vegas from 2/25/2024 - 2/29/2024.  Our Conference will kick off with Pre-sessions on Wednesday 2/29/2024.   This could impact us in the following ways:

    Some risks:

    Lower attendance
    Fewer Sponsors
Lower Sponsorship from Sage (who pulled funds from Intacct for this year's increased sponsorship).

    Some considerations

Palm Springs is a 2-hour drive from Vegas
We can provide consultant-only content on Wednesday (which was the plan) and open up Friday and Saturday to general session and maybe hold Saturday morning for any additional Sage-only time (which is what I offer to increase sponsorship)
We can not go exclusive with Sage and open the conference to all publishers again
We can survey the membership to see who is really going
    We can move our dates

The link to Transform is below.   Please feel free to comment away.....

Would it help to speak with someone at Sage to get their thoughts about back-to-back events?

I'm not opposed to moving the dates into March.

Are there other publishers who are interested in our event? It kinda seems like our members just want to focus on Sage.

A member survey about potential attendance is a good idea.

Are there other publishers who are interested in our event?

Yes - I can bring in Acumatica

This is a pickle.  As a consultant, personally, I would not attend Sage Transform.  Our Sales Team would attend that event.  But in many companies, they are one and the same are they not?  Have many Sage 100 consultants actually attended that event in the past?   And will Sage and other Vendors travel back to back?  Do we have any options for an alternative date?

As far as new dates, going into March in Palm Springs is a huge challenge on many levels due to other events.

I also hesitate to set precedence moving around to accommodate Sage.   We already have signed contracts for the next two years and dates that have been prominently shared (including with the Sage/Intacct teams).

A survey seems necessary which was already in the works.  I will put something together asap.

I welcome any additional comments and feedback as I figure out our messaging.  Thank you so much!

I should add - I will inquire as to a shift of dates and even see if it is on the table.

There are at least 10 of our sponsors on there from last year.

In my opinion, if I were to attend both, I'd prefer this solution Anne mentioned:   We can provide consultant-only content on Wednesday (which was the plan) and open up Friday and Saturday to general session and maybe hold Saturday morning for any additional Sage-only time (which is what I offer to increase sponsorship)

Sounds like you're on top of it, Anne.

We likely won't know much until you get a chance to speak with Dianetta.

    Hi everyone

    Some updates

    From Dianetta:

The events team is checking to see what they can do as they too are under contract with high cx impacts. Apparently, it was just announced to customers and partners.

It was shared that their last day is only a half day of sessions. More to come as I've shared the importance of the MOTM event.

From Krista (re Margaritaville 2024 Dates):

The March 6-9 option would need to shift to a Thursday, March 7 to Sunday, March 10 pattern and, space may not be as exact.  (I would say no to this option)

They can also shift this 2 weeks ahead or back 1 week:

    • Wed, February 21, 2024 to Saturday, February 24, 2024
      • Rate would remain the same
    • Wed, March 13, 2024 to Saturday, March 16, 2024
      • Rate may increase a little

*He has protected March 13-16, 2024.

Please confirm which option as soon as possible, especially if you prefer the Feb 21 dates.

SAGE Transform is scheduled from 2/25 - 2/29

So I would love your input - I am not feeling anything other than frustration because we will be competing either way.   Initial conversations with some sponsors indicate they will have to be at both.  In terms of attendees - I feel like we will be ok since we will be hyper focused on Sage 100 -  but welcome your comments.

    A.  We keep it as is and cross-market and promote it somehow
    B.  We move it earlier (will it be perceived as an insult but also have no time gap between the conferences?)
    C.  We move it to later dates which is the only option for some breathing room between two events.

It is worth noting, I am still waiting to hear back from Sage - but my gut tells me they are going to say they cant do anything.

    A) My vote is to keep it as it is.  East Coast resources attending both will appreciate not having to travel back and forth twice (like Option C).  Moving it before feels "passive aggressive".  So I say we stay as we are and come up with something to entice them to come over Wednesday Night.

I agree, to keep as is. Traveling for 2 meetings at once will be appreciated by many.

Fantastic. I really appreciate everyone's input on this subject. I'm going to leave everything as is and if Sage does not make any changes then I will start to negotiate cross promotional discounts and marketing.
