Sage today announced Sage Life built on the Salesforce One platform. Hardly any details of what this product will do other than casual mention that it will fit companies from 10 to a few hundred employees. I'm a little puzzled what is going to happen with Sage One but I suspect that will continue to be slotted as the ""cash book"" type offering which is for 1-2 person shoebox accounting situations. This product is supposed to be released summer 2015. Given the super slow pace Sage released Sage One on -- I'll believe it when I see it. http://na.sage.com/us/sage-life

Sage Life looks a lot like QuickBooks Self-Employed

They must have been working on this longer than a couple of months?? If they did this much in 2 months wow - meaning creating a whole new product. take it - it is not on providex!

@JohnnyPabian Sage is still struggling to release Sage One features -- which started probably 3-4 years ago. I have not seen any indication that they are showing Sage Life. Talking about it? Yes. Showing a product? Not that I know of. Being vague at launch leaves them a lot of wiggle room. They talk collaboration which is almost certainly SF Chatter. The more pieces of the integration drug you get the user hooked on -- the harder it is for them to leave you. Until I see a shipping product that users are paying for I'm not sold this exists yet. It's possible that Sage will bolt on an existing product to the SF1 platform and proclaim that ""Sage Life"". And it's equally possible that some team toiling away in a back room as created a fully integrated Sage Life (I hesitate to call it accounting because Sage seems to avoid talking about it in such terms). Wait and see is my recommendation. It is a safe bet that development $$ for this project comes out of the on premises maintenance payments. Notice that Sage isn't dumb enough to stop development of on-prem. Rather keep up the illusion of life and hope enough customers stay on prem to fund Sage's next offering in the cloud.
