Note: This knowledge article has resolved the issue for a large number of customers. However, it may be possible that it does not resolve the issue for a rare, few customers. Unfortunately, there is not at this time something that can be done within the Sage 100 software program to resolve this.
if the issue happens only on 1 workstation, after logging into Sage 100, see

Try setting the shortcut to run Maximized:
- Right-click the shortcut icon used to launch Sage 100 at the workstation.
- Select Properties
- Access the Shortcut tab
- For Run, change to Maximized (instead of Normal Window)
- Click OK
Try setting the workstation's ForegroundLockTimeout key in the Registry:
Note: This is Windows user profile specific and will have to be done for each individual windows user experiencing the issue. The Administrator will have to modify ForegroundLockTimeout registry key value for each remote user. A Group Policy can be created for remote users that modifies this key for all remote users.
- From the Windows Desktop, open Start, Run
- In the Run field (or in Search programs and files) type REGEDIT and press the Enter key to open the Registry Editor
- Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Control Panel, Desktop
-
- While Desktop is selected on the left pane, the right pane of the Registry Editor window should display all associated keys
- Browse through the list to find the ForegroundLockTimeout key
- Double-click the ForegroundLockTimeout key to open it
- In the Value data field remove what is there and enter 0
(Note: That is a number 0, not the letter O)
- Click OK
- Back in the Registry Editor window, click File, then click Exit
If above steps do not work, try RENAMING HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sage Software in regedit (rename do not delete key, OR make backup of registry before proceeding!)
