If this keeps up Sage will have to give away the tickets to Summit Atlanta like they did Summit UK - or is that what everyone is waiting for?

I'm only going because it is in Atlanta so I have at least one customer confirmed going...and the ticket price is already nothing relative to the hotel bill...

Oh my gosh that's incrediable footage @GaryFeldman ! I couldn't believe that the overpasses had remained open during this blaze. Glad she got through, but how scary!

That was on a ""Connector"" next to the highway about 9 lanes away from the blaze. The highway was closed and the connector was closed shortly after. No casualties anywhere as a result is a testament to the excellent work of the fire department. Very rare we see public servants due a job and be universally praised for their work!

Yep, that is a LOT of PVC pipe going up in flames. Do they have an ETA for rebuilding or just ""months""?

@JeffSchwenk Their goal is mid-June, with huge incentives for early completion

250K cars per day depend on it. Is this affecting travel from the airport to downtown? Concerned about Summit travel.

No effect for Summit unless you are coming from the northeast side of town. Airport and downtown are both south of the damage.

And the new highway exits and ramps were supposed to be open in advance of the Braves new SunTrust Statdium too.....

Sage City offered me a conference ticket / free hotel and I'm still not going. I've attended the past two Summits and the only significant benefit I had was Alnoor's scripting class in NOLA. What Sage puts on is not really applicable to the type of work I do... and sometimes worker bees need to stay home to make honey.

I have to babysit my customers or they'll come back having bought something that won't do what they thought. Holy cow, @GaryFeldman . I'm also shocked the highway was open amidst that. I guess things 'escalated quickly!'

@KevinMoyes - Sometimes worker bees need to fly south and enjoy the sunshine (especially the free hotel room at 200+/night). If enough show up, they can swarm the king bees and offer enough stinging remarks (or have their clients do the stinging) that the king bee or the designated bumbler bees take notice. The worker bees need to mutate into KILLER bees!!! Plus you get the opportunity to share some nectar with your fellow 90M swarm........ I hope you reconsider.

There are a few off brand hotels near Centenial park available under $200, but I agree the location is not the best for economy. On the other hand you will not need to rent a car as Marta will take you close and then everything you will need is within a walking distance.

Not attending"" is still out pacing ""attending"". I wonder if Summit Atlanta will end up with ""free"" tickets like they did for Sage Summit UK when the attendance estimates dropped significantly.

I looked at the poll from last year. We didn't ask how many weren't attending and instead asked that if people were attending they should ""like"" the post. I think we had 39 replies that ""liked"" aka were attending. That compares against 36 stating they would attend as of 4/10/2017. Last year 90 Minds also did the reporting shootout which could have influenced more to attend. Just an observation. https://90minds-com.socialcast.com/messages/29786606?ref=stream

I tend to lean Wayne's direction on this. I am a bit surprised at the degree of positive reaction to this. Given the turmoil with Sage, I can see how more members would go out of their ways to attend a mixer once they were at the show. Last year's mixer was a combo with SLA, yes? I think that definitely boosted the attendance at that event. Otherwise, I think 90 Minds Summit attendance looks like it will be only a bit below Chicago.

I continue to believe you make Summit what you want it to be. I'm sure if I didn't attend, I probably wouldn't miss anything I could not look up on Google. I go to see and talk to people, review status and new features the ISV's have, and to make sure Sage people see me. I will go to some sessions, but that's not a priority. If there is a 90 Minds event, that's even better. I am also hosting a group from one of my customers now headquarted in Atlanta.

We will look into hosting a mixer and if we do will most likely want to make it open to customers as well (not that I expect a ton to come, but some for sure!). Thoughts?

As of 4-13-2017, attendance replies stand at: YES - 38 NO - 47 (Includes 3 undecided) Early registration scheduled to end 4-14-2017 and no last minute guest or entertainment announcements.

@MoiraGoggin I'm interested in a poll of reasons for those NOT planning to attend, such as expense, not compelling enough, hate Sage, hate Atlanta, futile exercise, customer projects, not my turn, family vacation conflict, . . .

    8 options?

Those were just examples. (We should probably leave out the ""hate"" ones. Several times a day/week/month we all hate Sage, so that's not a good reason.)

We could use ""intense dislike"" instead of ""hate""...
