Sage Summit Atlanta Agenda Features Added Sage 100 Content

  • 1.  Sage Summit Atlanta Agenda Features Added Sage 100 Content

I've been hearing that Sage Summit Atlanta may include additional Sage 100cloud content.
I asked Sage during MOTM if they could provide any feedback (naturally they promised but didn't).

So I downloaded the Atlanta agenda and compared it to San Diego.

    The changes are relatively minor.
I don't know if there's going to be further updates to the agenda.

Heck, Sage probably doesn't know either.

Here's what I was able to spot

The presentation at MOTM on Microsoft apps and flows had sex appeal. Showing that Sage 100cloud can connect to a "simple" app on your portable device demonstrates cloud connectivity. What Steve M presented was rough. It might not have been ready for Summit in SD. By May more should be available. Of course the technical skills and resources required to make this work will be downplayed.

I agree with Myron's assessment of the Sage 100 O365 connectivity.  That was sexy but not nearly as sexy as the demo done the next day by Acumatica's Tom Costa.

Wayne I heard the same from an inside source, that is, although the Summit ATL agenda does not reflect it currently, the plan is to have more content related sessions than SD, as in the type of sessions Johnny Woodward typically does. No doubt that's an O365 demo but also sounded like he and others like him will be doing several other content sessions as well.

Of course this information is unsubstantiated and subject to change. Please hold the messenger harmless :-)

There's a revamped partner agenda, however, most of the afternoon content runs concurrently.  So, while the agenda looks full, you'll only see three sessions in the afternoon unless you run from room to room.

Sage is projecting 1,500 total attendees. I think they have a better chance to meet projections as Atlanta is the HQ as well as a bit more reachable by car for those from multiple surrounding states.

Getting some client phone calls regarding the Atlanta Summit.  Trying to decide on reasons to recommend it.

Looking for feedback from the San Diego show, changes to Atlanta and just ANY reason to promote it!

    TIA

I tell customers it's a scaled-back Summit event with fewer attendees.  Whether to attend depends on whether the customer is looking for something specific. I think it's great if they have an ISV they want to meet and talk to. Probably good if they haven't been to Sage Summit/Sessions in 3+ years.

The primary reason I can think of for a Sage partner to attend is to see what Sage displays publicly to customers.
Sage is getting good at posting all sorts of "internal use only" information but I have not seen the slide deck (public) which they show the customers for a road ahead session.

Most partners go now due to FOMO.

Just spotted that Sage posted an agenda with a different name - presumably, this is updated with new content - https://events.sage.com/accounts/register123/sage/events/summitatlanta/Sage_Summit_Atlanta_Agenda_4.pdf

If there is a difference other than name I can’t spot it.

There is a poll on attendance to Sage Summit Atlanta, please take a moment to indicate if you are or aren't attending.   You'll find the poll on the 90 Minds Community page, after logging into Higher Logic.

We'll have an hour-long webinar from Steve Malmgren on the Office 365 Connector to Sage 100 April 3.  The webinar may or may not answer questions on the readiness of this feature and may or may not influence attendance at Summit Atlanta.   Guarantee our webinar on Office 365 and Sage 100 is easier to attend, includes opportunities to ask tough questions, and costs nothing extra. Oh, and it doesn't involve traveling on Mother's Day.

Insider webinars with Sage technical staff are pretty much mandatory for me.  :-)
