Via the Sage Partner Hub - here are the details
What is Sage selling?
Sage is selling subscription licenses to Sage 100 and to Sage 300 with new SKUs. Existing
customers can also migrate to these new SKUs.
These licenses will be the same price, include the same modules and Sage Business Care
options as the existing Sage 100cloud and Sage 300cloud SKUs. The only change will be
the on the Order Form used by partners when placing an order to flag the new offering.
Sage, in our turn, will process the order under a different set of SKUs which allow the
recognition of customers under this program for Sage reporting and for Partner Tier credit
attribution.
Partners will work with one of the Strategic Hosting Providers to deploy and manage our
customer's data in an accredited hosting provider's cloud infrastructure. Fees to enable
data migration, data hosting, etc. will be separate to the Sage license fees and will be
managed by the Business Partner and the Strategic Hosting provider
When will other providers be added to the program?
We will be rolling out this program in phases.
Phase 1: We are limiting the providers during the initial program launch to better focus
resources on the success of the program. During this first phase, Cloud at Work is the
Provider for Sage 100 and Sage 300. Swizznet is the Provider for Sage 100 Contractor
and Sage 300 CRE.
Phase 2: Depending on the outcome of the first few months of the pilot, we may begin
accepting applications from Resellers who provide hosting and managed services for
customers where they are the reseller of record (ROR). Providers onboarded during this
phase will be accredited to offer hosting to their own (ROR) clients but will not be
accredited or promoted by Sage to offer hosting to the Sage customers aligned to other
partners. Timing for the commencement of Phase 2 will depend on learnings from Phase
1. At this time, we anticipate we may begin accepting application in early FY22 (October
2021).
Phase 3: During Phase 3, onboarded Providers will be accredited to host customers where
they are not the reseller of record. This phase may also include onboarding Providers that
are not Sage Resellers. Timing for commencement of this phase has not been determined
but is estimated around April 2022, subject to change and approval of the BMS commercial
leader.
Does this mean we're adding Cloud at Work and Swizznet to the Sage Provisioning
Portal?
No. The Sage Provisioning Portal for Microsoft Azure is a different option intended for
Business Partners who want to become a Managed Service Provider (MSP) themselves.
You can find more information about that program on the Sage Partner Hub.
I guess we will find out at the webinar exactly what it is ( aside from spiffs and NCA tier promos ) that the Strategic Hosting Provider Program offers as a customer benefit. To me, it sounds like regular cloud hosting except you use a specific SKU so Sage can presumably track and report on the number of customers who've migrated to the cloud.
