90Minds has never had a requirement for ISVs to have contractual relationships with Sage.   I know that several of our ISVs do not have contractual relationships with Sage for certain.   Many of our members are merely certified consultants and have no official partnership with Sage as well!   A couple of questions:

 - Has Sage signed a contract for the sponsorship and does it state anywhere that their exclusivity is for anything other than ERP publisher?

 - I would recommend you ask Dianetta where this request was coming from as it is the first time Sage has ever made such a request.

This is due to the bad blood that was created last year when Sage required a third party to pay 20+% of all revenue to Sage in order to work with Intacct.  My personal approach would be to try and possibly appease Sage by clearly indicating which sponsors are Sage Partners as an elevation of their status while non-partner sponsors would not get the badge.  This as their money grab with ISVs is pure bullying.

 – It was explained to me that many companies that are members of 90 Minds may not have contractual relationships with Sage as you've noted. Please understand that this isn't my challenging you or the board, it's more of a matter of the status of the relationship.

 I don't want this to snowball into an issue with the partners, so I wanted to clarify.  Having their booth positioned away from Sage is a good approach for this event.

I'm at a loss for words.  

Agreed on positioning.  At the ITA I spoke with TJ and asked about the situation.  He seemed to understand this as a business decision by Sage and the eBiz charge would love to have a contractual relationship with Sage under mutually agreeable terms. 

For now it probably makes them more competitive in the market.  Although Sage sent notices to all eBiz customers on Intacct, they are still operating in that environment to my knowledge and are making inroads in other products.

Also, Russ Graf has left Calvalo and is now with eBiz Charge and will likely attend 90Minds again.
