We'll have to see what today's call brings. Hopefully, it's not as poorly executed as the reorg email.
I didn't pick up on Taylor being back for the entire organization. It read like Sage was going to do that then in the last couple of paragraphs they say don't worry Taylor and Nancy will continue leading their respective channel. Which did not strike me as an indication of an immediate merger?
Reporting to Chris will be Taylor Macdonald, who runs Sage Intacct's partner channel, and me, as I continue to lead the North America partner channel.
Um, ok. So much for ... we shape the organization into a single global segment and the single US go to market team-ensuring our new ways of working are operational as we head into the new fiscal year on October 1.
Admittedly, I don't have a lot of the behind-the-scenes details of what has been happening at Sage but from observing the emails and public events it seems like Steve Hare is a somewhat more employee-friendly version of Stephen Kelly minus the expensive flop of trying to develop Sage Live.
Software publishing is somewhat like a casino. The house always wins and thrives provided they keep a steady volume of customers visiting.

However,
- Getting Taylor back for the entire organization is probably a good thing.
- Moving Intacct into the same organization should be an efficiency gain for Sage
- I like Nancy and she got the top job
On the flip side this was the inevitable for Intacct which thought they were special and would remain that way. I wonder if any Intacct partners could comment on the level of investment and innovation since the acquisition by Sage in comparison to historical levels.
