I don't know if it happens often enough to be able to track whether that even fixes it. So far, it has been reported on Forms, Registers (me included), and screens. None of it happens consistently. Thinking memory leak or something...

Maybe caused by the Application Scaling setting or screen resolution? You may try lowering the screen resolution and or changing the Application Scaling setting if that's relevant.

Starting to worry that that is the case. One client is reporting that it is also happening when getting into screen, not just printing. Error indicates stack buffer overrun. I've just sent more details to Sage - waiting for the next client to say it's happening to them... gloom

Could this be some type of bug with 64-bit Sage 100?

Latest on this - I've added another client to the list and today - it happened to ME. I am on 2024, and I went to print my Sales Journal. I selected 2 batches, clicked Proceed, then clicked Print on the Sales Journal screen and - it disappeared and nothing happened. I went back in and selected again and it printed this time, so it didn't think I was currently doing it.
I checked my Windows Logs and found a BEX64 event for program pvxwin64.exe and pvxsec64.dll at that time. I'm going to start a case with Sage and ask my clients to check their logs to see if they are getting the same event when it happens to them.

Good thought on the Let Windows check box, although it usually causes other issues and should have been caught already - but you never know.

Along the lines of Kevin's comment.... I would try turning off "Let Windows manage default printers" if that's enabled, and then manually set the default printer. If the issue still occurs then, as a test, try setting the default printer to something generic like "Print to Microsoft PDF".

Follow up - one system is using a Terminal Server and they rebooted it last night. The other is NOT - everyone is connecting directly, which is even weirder.

My first thought with something printing related is a bad print object, or a bad print driver.
If it's a remote desktop environment, try it without sharing printers with the remote session, and see if the problem disappears.

Sorry, I wasn't clear - they just have to choose the print screen again from the menu. It doesn't kick them all the way out. One is Advanced and the other I THINK is Standard but it's the one I'm waiting to hear back from and it MAY also be Advanced. I don't have remote access to it to check.

--> they click on print and the screen disappears and they have to start all over, sometimes multiple times.
Are they exited out of Sage 100 entirely and then have to restart Sage 100 -- or is it just the printing dialog box that closes and they are still in Sage 100?
Is this on Standard or Advanced/Premium?
