Local CPA running Payroll 2019.  The checks printed very nicely before upgrading from PR v2018.  Now the top stub is printing short causing the middle stub (check to print high).  The same form prints fine on my version of PR 2019.  He swears there has been NO hardware changes.  I tried printing to different printer (high), printed from server to PDF (high).  If I change the top of form margin in Crystal, I can get the check to print normally but the top stub prints low.

    Thoughts??

BTW, is there "how to" article published for aligning the payroll form?  I got it to work last year by trial and error.  Hoping there is something more formal a year later.

    TIA

Did the number of Stub Lines change in the check printing window?

@Jeff Schwenk, you jinxed me!  I just called a user to schedule the 2.19.1 upgrade.  I installed 2.19.0 when I did his W2s about 3 weeks ago so it isn't a "2.19" thing.  He said during his last payroll run he got a message about something needing to be updating and he couldn't proceed without doing it. He was under the gun trying to get his direct deposit file created and uploaded so he let it do it's thing and didn't call us.  Nor did he document exactly what the message was.  As a result of that, he lost all his direct deposit stub customizations.  He said he believes he's using the correct form code when I asked if the default form code got changed somehow.  I'll be installing his 2.19.1 update on Monday and will get the form situation straightened out at that point too.  To my knowledge the only automatic updates that should be installing are the tax table updates and it doesn't make sense to me those would be messing with forms or form codes, but what do I know?  Did you user by chance get a similar message?

@Therese Logeais - Good question.  Will verify!

@Mary Jo Krueger - I installed PR v2019 last month so he could get his w-2's out.  He didn't notice check issue until later in January.  He also installed (via Sage advisor) three hot fixes for PR.  And apparently, installing the latest PU 5 for 2018 adds a field to the BR_transaction table which causes an error (Action Required is Required when selecting in Check, Deposit and Adjustment Entry in Bank Reconciliation) to display during bank reconciliation if you cancel a PR check.  The fix to that was PU for PR 2018.5.  They were already on v2019.  So I had to download and run BR_ActionReqFix_Utl.  Freaky!
