Sage Payroll Tiers has come to my attention front

Sage Payroll Tiers has come to my attention front and center. I have attended the first scare-tactic meeting (5K annually because payroll was too much of a bargain). I then attended the revised pricing presentation. What a deal $4K for new large payroll clients and 1,200 for current clients (subject to change at some UNKNOWN interval)! I just distributed my April Renewals. One of them with payroll. On the renewal it was declared Payroll was not included and call to discuss. The client (of course) want to know how much. I called Sage. No one has formal pricing or agreements!!!

Are you pricing or sharing this with clients?

What I do not have is answers to the questions that I think customers are likely to ask; - How exactly is the number of employees counted? Overall, per customer number or is it by company setup within Sage? - What exactly happens when you cancel subscription (I think it goes into read only) However, there's really no alternative and if a user wants to continue using Sage Payroll they're going to need to subscribe. The other option is to use a service.

I don't do the renewals but from what I just heard Sage will be sending around both the maintenance $$ and the payroll $$. At first I was told we'd have to call for payroll $$ but now I hear it will be sent along with renewals for May 1, 2016 + plans.

Good to know on the newsletter. As for the employee count in the presentation (do not recall which one) it was answered several times it was a total count across companies (I was worried it was going to be $1,200*4 companies.) My question is number of employees for W2s versus paychecks versus direct deposit are different numbers. The reality is current clients have 6 tiers (for today) as anything over 150 is $1,200. I billed my May renewals and it said no payroll but no payroll pricing reflected or pricing discussed. It amazes me this is not all put together (or maybe I am not amazed...).

Sage Payroll and Sage Time deep dive presentation today at 1 pm EST... is that a SALES PITCH for their new service? Or is that information related to the Tiers?

I sat in on the Time and Payroll. Did not seem terribly relevant. Another part of the company that doesn't really have a clue how they integrate into the big picture.

Interesting how the client reacted when I showed him the schedule. They have 72 employees. He was upset that he was being treated the same as a new customer. I had not noticed this is the only tier level where the new and old customer is treated the same.

Take a look at the image Wayne shared above. The difference is a decent percentage. Then shrinks to zero at 75 employees. Then starts to grow again.
