Sage - Payroll survey out in the wild
Perhaps you've seen already saw this, but today I received a payroll survey from Sage. I filed out the survey and was biased towards the view that Sage needs to include Payroll as a publisher and not outsource it to third party software or third party services. One comment posted was:
""Using 3rd party services or software introduces risks to processing payroll. One risk is that the software and/or payroll process is out of the control of the business management system (Sage 100) publisher. We depend on Sage for our system. If Sage were to outsource this software or process and that payroll system fails, will Sage reimburse us for our expenses? We depend on Sage for GL, AR, AP, distribution and payroll. We prefer not to introduce other players without recourse from Sage.""
Past history with Sage and bolt-on modules/services doesn't provide much, if any, reassurance that they will get this right.
