Sage held a webinar this week to introduce My Sage Sell 2.0 - now known as Sage Partner Hub

This looks to be a revamped partner marketing portal. User access will be segmented by role.

It was a fairly good presentation but nothing most of us haven't seen or heard multiple times.

The new site will be focused on marketing for sure, so not much for a technical consultant like me.

Very disappointing that their online support ticket functionality is not improving.
I'm still waiting on an answer to my "remember me" question.  If I have to type in my Hub credentials every day, I'll probably just go directly to Sage City / the Partner Portal.

I think having one central partner hub is a good idea.
Provided it is updated and adds value.
I can ( and do ) just as easily bookmark pages I need to get to within Sage's vast online sites.

I bet you $100 we never see a public-facing "find a Sage partner" locator which lists anything more than top-level Advocate partners.

I'm lost on why people would register leads but I am thinking Sage will likely exert some pressure to do so.

The two people on the call identified themselves as if they were hired to manage the partner hub

I am amazed about how key people leave or are asked to leave Sage, and Sage hires 2 people just for something like this. They also were very green as far as I could see.

Registering leads would be great, if they were then protected like most other publishers do and Intacct does. The problem with registering them is Sage will then pressure the reseller about when it is going to close. The result will be that until it is very close to being a sale, it will not be registered. I used to put prospects on my pipeline report that I found, not a lead from Sage, and the PAM would act like I was letting Sage down by not closing it.

I think a centralized partner hub is a fantastic idea, if done well.  The maze of sites for KB, customer info, SageUni, SageCity, news, marketing... each with different login, is frustrating.  What is the benefit of working with a global brand if it's visibly split into 1000 pieces?
Hopefully this is the first step of many, to try and consolidate everything under one B2B umbrella.

It always amazes me when a company of Sage's size does not "practice" their presentation/screen sharing skills ahead of time, knowing that there would be many partners on the call.  Such was the case yesterday when the presenters couldn't figure out how to change from one presenter to another (hence quite a bit of dead time on the phone in the beginning); then didn't know that two open microphones causes incredible feedback and echoing; and then toward the end of the call, didn't mute a Sage employee who was talking on the phone to a client at the same time the presentation was happening (Michelle Pickering).  Sigh.
