Question for anyone selling the SPP on Azure. I noticed a while back Sage was adding 1T drives to the Provisioned VMs. I didn't think much of it until I was analyzing the costs and noticed the 1T is $70 a month and the 256 drives are $20. I see they're now provisioning with 127, so I guess they got some complaints. The question is, does anyone have any recommendations as to converting to smaller drives since Azure doesn't let you reduce the size? I'm testing creating a new drive and copying all the data to it. Then remapping the drive letters.

    Thanks in advance

If it's a separate data drive, that should work fine. If it's the OS drive, you'd need all the partitions as well. The last time I had to do something like that (prob 8 years ago), I followed this guide after downloading a copy of the VHD from Azure to my local and then pushed it back up when I was done. Azure might offer better tools nowadays.

Thanks Steve. I wound up Creating a new Drive, copied everything to it, then remapped. I had to change the file permissions also.

Richard,  I would just replicate the site and it will create a new one with the smaller drives .  Then remigrate it.

    It is a simple process.

Thanks Jim. I was trying to avoid creating a new VM. Wound up adding the new drive and coping all the data over and adding the correct permissions. That seemed to work. Fingers crossed.
