Hey @JimWoodhead - With the recent changes in CA law regarding certain types of smoke shops, we should reach out to one to determine if there is any interest in becoming the official sponsor of the MOTM ""cloud"". Samples would be great!!

  • 83.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 12:05
I have to listen to the recording, but I did a little reading in my **Sage 50** Office 365 documentation, and when you connect Office 365 and Sage 50, you're agreeing that Sage is now your Microsoft Cloud Provider. If that means what i think it means, I will not be happy. It sounds like if i sold my client O365, which I do, that upon connecting, they click a box that agrees that Sage gets all the residuals from that. so i plan to come out and ask (at MOTM) if no one knows already.

  • 84.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 12:11
Linda Cade told me yesterday that the margin (residual) on Office 365 would be 8%, because I wanted to compare that to our margin as a Microsoft partner. She also said that we would use our current Microsoft account for the Sage subscriptions (I actually am not sure that is right). Finally, she said that each product line 50, 100, 300, 500 has their own program for the Office 365.

  • 85.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 12:19
So I didn't miss anything. As a current O365 partner it was a collossal time suck for my support team until now. We are finally qualifies to replace of our SPLA licensing with O365 as soon as we make one more change to our partnership and program. This will not save our customers money but get them licenses for local machines at no additional cost. O365 v2019 will require different VDI and tons of change. Part of our infrastructure overhaul... Ask about it at MOTM.

  • 86.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 12:29
@RhondaMcNamara that is significant if Sage becomes the MS Cloud provider, not only for 90 Minders that sell MS but all those IT subs for our customers. That won't be pretty.

  • 87.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 12:33
OK, I won't even start the rumor, then. :-D Half the time, I am misreading. Hoping Sage 100's program is not like Sage 50's program, as John said. see below from the KB. Tried to bold the main points. Option II: I **purchased Office 365 through a 3rd party company, not Sage**, and I want to get started using the Sage 50 Integration with Office 365. Please Note: You must have Office 365 Business Premium in order to use the Integration with Sage 50c. 1.-5. **6.Next, click View and Accept Invitation to accept the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Invitation. 7.Click Sign in to view and accept the invitation. 8.Click the Check box Yes, I have read and understand the terms of delegated administration and I am authorized to agree to these terms on behalf of my organization. 9.Click the Authorize CSP button to allow Sage to become your CSP. 10.-16.

  • 88.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 12:47
If we sent that list to an IT group they'd shrug and walk away. Maybe that's Sage's strategy.

  • 89.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 13:17
And if the customer has an Exchange Server and wants to move that mail, there is a free conversion utility that works sometimes and the customers never want to pay... There are third party utilites that work great, but again, your job is to sell the value of your services to a crowd that is constantly being told that the cloud is less expensive by people who just want to sell their subscriptions.

  • 90.  RE: Sage Partner All Hands Meeting - anyone else on th

    Posted 02-21-2018 17:54
As a Microsoft partner, we currently get 11% on O365 and may be making a change that gives us much more, so Sage is keeping a big chunk of these subscriptions. There was no talk of tier, so I'd say this is not a good deal for current Microsoft partners.
