  • 1.  Sage NPS Survey And The Followups

I feel like I've seen this movie six or seven times.

And it ends the same way every time.

I completed the Sage NPS survey this week.
Then a day after, I got an email from someone at Sage asking me to call them to share further feedback.

Well, um, ok. Well isn't that what the survey is for?

I'm gun-shy about taking time from my schedule to set up these ad-hoc "group therapy" calls.

The calls go nowhere, They can drag for a long time.

I have done one or two with third-party ISVS, and I feel as if I was so honest with lengthy explanations of what I felt was wrong - that I might have sent that person into early retirement. (I'm only slightly kidding - I genuinely felt like I burst their bubble)

I spent my $ flying out to Newport Beach, where Sage had 2/3 of their 100 staff. That would have been a perfect time to gather feedback.

    Geesh. Maybe I'm just jaded.

I did this twice... which is enough.
Once I had SPC related feedback, and had a conference call with a few people.  I did see they took one of my suggestions (base images installing to a folder with year in the folder name) and I answered some pretty basic questions about things like when a client will upgrade to a new server... which could have been done in an email.
Another time I had a really nice call with Jennifer Warawa, who I believe took what I was saying seriously... then shortly after she left Sage.
I'm done with the general feedback now.  The survey readers only really care about barriers to sell, not the actual product... where the Mod Squad is a better channel for that kind of thing.

These continue to be yawners mainly because it is continually Ground Hogs day.  We suggest, they seem to ignore.  Their questions were ambiguous regarding Sage in general and I only have Sage 100 interaction experience.  Is life better with Intacct?  Dunno.  I just know Sage has left the "100 building".  We don't get innovations , support or respect.  How many times can they ask the questions and think they might get a different response?
