Sage Modifies Certification Requirements: Sage Data & Analytics

Sage has slightly modified their certification requirements for Sage Data & Analytics so you now can sell the solution prior to certifying. I'm not sure how long this will remain in place. Presumably, this only applies to your first "getting started" deal.

It is unclear whether the consultant can implement the solution ahead of their certification ( I don't think so - it sounds like an uncertified consultant would use ZAP professional services ).
There are two certifications required in order to resell and presumably implement SD&A.
Sage waives this requirement - presumably only for the first sale and presumably, they require you use ZAP for the implementation ( at an added fee ).

The first certification is through Sage U and totals about 24 hours.

The second is to have ZAP BI ( they are the company from which Sage white labels Sage Data & Analytics ) shadow you on your first implementation - which Sage estimates at 55 hours.

In addition, you likely will need to license a ZAP BI ( Sage Data & Analytics ) for $100/mo.

The selling price to the customer is $3,100 to $9,500 depending on the version. The hosting fee is broken out in this pricing because Sage doesn't pay a margin on the hosting portion. Sage handles all the billing and flips you 20% ( net of the separately stated hosting ).
