Sage MAS90 --- May 2011 Road Map --- hosted MAS90 in 2H 2011 -- only modules that are at framework will be available for hosting. Will have monthly pricing. Should be interesting to read how upgrades will be managed and will enhancements be allowed? My guess is that they will and that this will simply be a variation of a Terminal Server/Citrix. Also interesting that Sage is pegging MAS90 customer base at 45,000. This is pretty darn close to the 35k that I think we'd always assumed. I don't know if that's only people on maintenance (the use of the term customer would imply so) or if it might include people who are on maintenance plus anyone who dropped within x years (on the assumption they were probably still active). Selling 10,000 units additional (beyond our 35 k internal estimate of installed base) isn't too far fetched when you factor in winback, small business, etc.

It's like three card montie trying to figure out what enhancements were included in 4.5. ""36 enhancements delivered in product update 1 trough 5 are incorporated in 4.5 including the main features and functionality of 18 extended solutions titles"" ""The main features and functionality of 14 additional Extended Solutions titles are incorporated in v4.5 with enhancements to payroll, sales order, purchase order and accounts receivable"" I'm guessing that in terms of value added they've put in 14 Extended Solutions and that completes the rollout.

In reading the road map for the Cloud solution, I am gettting the sense that this is a strictly vanilla offering. Do others see it this way? Wouldn't this be a major differentiator between the Cloud and a Hosted solution?

Hard to say except you won't be able to run non-framework and it appears Custom Office is not available. For ease of upgrades they probably keep the included modules and features to a minimum.
