Sage layoffs today - 70 people, but no more details. Heard this from Tim Sullivan, who just went to MS from Avalara.

I heard more than 70 but it sound these job are opening in Atlanta so the people can reapply and move. Plus more jobs are being added

That crossed my mind @JimWoodhead . If that's the case, we're going to see more new faces trying to learn their way while Sage keeps changing the rules of the game.

So Atlanta has been deemed less American than Irvine? That'll go over well...

I've been assured this was not a ""layoff"" or reduction in jobs. There will actually be more jobs. It's a restructuring. Reminds me of the Republican Presidential debates.

The jobs are still there. Just the people will be different. It's no surprise that they want to slowly consolidate to Atlanta and wind down Irvine. The hippies in California make hiring (and firing) more difficult than other states.
