  • 1.  Sage launches Sage Intacct Manufacturing in Europe

    Sage press release - Sage launches cloud-native Sage Intacct Manufacturing in France

    Enterprise Times article here

    Keep an eye on this as it's an unusual announcement for several reasons:
    • It launched in France first
    • It's using the Intacct brand but doesn't seem to be a core part of Intacct ( or even integrate to Intacct at the present time )
    • At launch, it's not integrated into Intacct ( instead it integrates to Sage's FRP1000 )
    • Sage offered up Rob Sinfield ( VP Product X3) for discussions
    • This seems like it might be a test - yet Sage press released it and proactively reached out for coverage
    • It's unclear if this is (a) a new SaaS product, (b) 3rd party white-label, or (c) some variant of X3 hosted on Azure
    • Is this an eventual replacement for X3?

    Go-to-market
    Sage Intacct Manufacturing is available to customers in France, either on a stand-alone basis or integrated with the financial management capabilities of Sage FRP 1000 and is offered by Sage's experienced Value-Added Reseller (VAR) network of partners, who ensure the industry and product expertise needed to bring this solution to customers.

    France is the first country in a planned international rollout of Sage Intacct Manufacturing across 2022 and beyond, including integration with Sage Intacct core financials, and other Sage finance solutions.

    It appears to be job cost only, not bill or materials / process manufacturing.

    You may be right. The functionality of the product is not as unusual as the fact that Sage chose to use the Intacct brand on something that's not part of the core product ( and doesn't even integrate to Sage Intacct yet ).

    The article: 

    Sage Intacct Manufacturing is targeted at discreet manufacturers between 10 and 499 employees. The solution includes the core functionality required by a discrete manufacturer, including procurement, production, distribution, inventory management, warehousing, resource management and skills management. It is mobile-ready and includes the localisation requirements for France. However, the information available did not go into much further detail on this.
