I found this in my notes ( probably from a prior conversation during a Sage conference ). I don't know if this is still true or whether keys only push upon a noted expiration.
FYI
For Distribution to resellers only: Beginning with the 2018.0 release, a change was made to the registration logic which will stop the system from downloading new product keys from Sage unless specifically requested. This is to allow resellers an opportunity to continue using older product keys before switching the customer over to their new system either in terms of migrating from Sage 100 to Sage 100cloud or moving from a Standard version of the product to Advanced or Premium. A valid product key must still be provided at installation, but going forward, that key will not be updated until the"Update" button is pressed in the Registration dialog. This will allow customers to run parallel versions of Sage 100 with different product keys.

There is definitely a part number for a test set of Premium keys. I have seen this also listed somewhere in a KB article but despite searching like crazy have not been able to come up with it. I know there is a part number because my customer wanted/had to use test Premium keys for a similar reason. These keys showed up briefly in their account.
Perhaps someone else will either have the link to the KB article or know the part number to request from sales.

@Kevin Moyes, I'd like to ask a related side question, if you (or anyone!) don't mind. I can't seem to find the thread where someone said they got the Premium keys to start testing and their Advanced keys stopped being valid when they registered Premium. I'm about to do this in a 100 user Advanced customer and can't afford to have that happen so I thought I should ask you what your experience is. We plan to test for months and, in fact, may never switch.

Another one... Advanced to Premium, but with a month-end budget deadline, and a planned upgrade date of tomorrow, the customer decided to mail a check last week.
*facepalm*
(Can't blame Sage for that).

It seems like we are "special" in having to wait so long then... lucky us. Day 8 (6 business) for the second set of keys, and still waiting. Shabnam has been trying to escalate, but if anyone has any names to drop who might help speed this kind of thing along please feel free to share.

A couple of days at most for me. Seems to be a timely turnaround. I usually CC our account manager in the correspondence to keep her in the pain loop.

I've rarely had to wait more than 1-2 business days.

(Thanks Michelle).
8 days (6 business) and one set is in... with a new customer account # and comments blaming the delay on it being a Canadian customer.
Yup... world class SaaS company.

We've placed order in the last several months for a few customers that made such a change. It took between 2-5 days to get the new keys.
