Sage KB feedback...

For those who are not subscribed to the Partner section of Sage City, I posted an annoyance and someone from Sage indicated they will work on improving the search engine.  If you want to ask for anything else... here is a link to the thread (you'll need to apply to the forum as a Partner before you can read / post in this section of SC).

    What Jeff said.
I figure at this point it’s never improving.
We’ve met with Sage repeatedly and I don’t think they sense any issue
    Nobody is in charge

Example - does anyone see a description of that this KB is for (other than reading the articles linked). Yes, there's a link to a list of fixes but shouldn't there be a description so people can keyword search?

This is so easy to fix because it just requires a little consistent effort yet most Sage employees prefer to remain under their desk refining their resume and hoping nobody from Sage calls on them to do anything they might be fired for.

Thanks for getting this started @Kevin Moyes. I posted an additional screenshot. This will, IMHO,  go nowhere because nobody at Sage appears to have responsibility for the KB. Sage is really good at two things:

    • Convincing you that they care (empathetic listening)
    • Doing nothing to followup

This is and remains a broken company.

A search engine vendor can't do substring matching?!?
    *facepalm*

I’ll believe it when I see it. Been hearing this for years. I truly don’t think Sage understands the various issues or the depth.

This is a broken company that is not getting better.

I'll believe it when I see it too... but having the complaints / discussion on a forum is not as easy to ignore as it would be in someone's voicemail / email inbox (especially when they have left the company).

So lame and so frustrating.  Can't believe they haven't at least fixed some of the basic KB issues.  For example, just did a search for pr_spatax; no results.  Then tried pr_spataxcalc.pvc; lo and behold.

Generally I agree completely... but wildcards can sometimes help:
