Sage Inventory Advisor Always check your tier report to make sure SIA sales have been added. We sold 2 last quarter and we've been asking about these for over 2 months. They still have not been added in. Also on the standard subscription form for Sage 100, the 2-year tier calculation is incorrect - calculates too high, because it calcs year 1 at your current tier % and year 2 at the 25% rate. I think the calc is appropriate, but Sage does 24 months at your current tier.

@JohnHoyt I have a prospect inquiring about inventory advisor. This is my first one. I noticed that there is a $2250 setup fee which includes training. Who does the training? Also, there is a $99 Stock Projection strap-on.... I thought the point of the core Inventory Advisor product was for stock projection. Why would we need to pay another $99 a month ?

The training is AnyTime Learning through SageU, available 24/7 for 12 months after purchase. The Stock Projection piece is news to me. I'll check it out.

Thank you @MoiraGoggin . I called Sage. The stock projection is if you want to calculate stock projections for more than 1 inventory item at a time. Without it you can only calculate stock projections for one item at a time. As for set up and training.... The Sage professional services group does the installation (I didn't even know Sage had a professional services group). As you mentioned Moira, training is anytime learning.

Doug, that description of stock projections, one only without a 99 fee, does not sound correct. SIA runs forecast on all items in your Sage 100 files unless they are marked 'inactive'. I've contacted NetStock for a better explanation and will post it as soon as it arrives.

@DougHiggs here is the clear explanation of the $99 stock projection - it's optional: ""It is an add on that stores the projections for all items. Without the add on the projection is calculated when you click on the projection tab."" So without it, you would still have ALL active items showing projections but not being stored. The work around to avoid the $99, use the CVS download option to export the projection it's on the same tab.

Great. Thanks Moira. For $99 a month it seems we could probably get by without i and use the work around.

Update on tier postings of SIA: Not only has Sage not posted SIA tier for the 9/2014 quarter, they had not posted another sale for the 3/2014 quarter. These are not small amounts - total missing of $17,946. I do not want to be a new profit center for Sage.

The latest: The person at Sage who is researching this is ""locked into a project, with all-day/every day meetings for the next several weeks."" That's more important than making one of their hard-working channel partners happy?
