Sage Intelligence - what actually comes with the ""free"" version? I've been out of the loop on SI for about 5 years, so I am now catching up. I hear the statement repeatedly that we should start with the free SI tool that comes with Sage 100 before introducing other reporting tools. I haven't found documentation yet on what comes built in with Sage 100, and what needs to be additionally purchased. Any suggestions where I would find such a document?

Not sure on documentation, but until 100c, it was just the Report Manager and you can do nothing with it except run the built in reports (some financial, some non-financial). You need the designer to build out any Financial Reports. You could probably build non-financial reports using the existing Containers. The Connector would give you access to multi-company consolidation or ability to create add'l Containers for non-financial reports. With 100c I believe you now get the Designer (or with Gold you get the Designer), but Connector is still an add-on.

The Designer is included with all levels of 100c/100cloud.

The Sage Intelligence site has a great deal of material on all aspects of SI. Some is about 3 years old, but they have added to it in the last year. https://www.sageintelligence.com/

This is what I've found so far on Sage Intelligence pricing: For Sage 100 C/Cloud one Design license and one Manager license is included. I assume this includes the Sage 100 connector. For Sage On-Prem, one Report Manager license is included with the Library Master bundle. If I read it correctly, the Report Designer is an additional $1360. Let me know if I have any information wrong here. I'm trying to figure out how to market SI to our customer base as the default BI Tool available.

Looks good, my only question/comment is I'm not sure the Connector is ever included, it's a separate purchase, but I could be wrong.

The Connector is never included under any 100cloud plans, bundles or On-Prem, so it is always a separate purchase. You are correct on the pricing for On-Prem, but if the customer is on a Gold or Platinum plan, then the Designer module is free. The only other option is to opt for the SI Subscription Bundle, which is based on number of companies: $99/mo for 1 - 2 companies ($1,188 annual investment) $129/mo for 3 - 9 companies ($1,548 annual investment) $199/mo for 10+ companies ($2,388 annual investment) These bundles include unlimited Report Managers, unlimited Report Viewers, Designer module and Connector module. You need to do the math to determine if it is a better deal. (Note: you don't have to be on 100cloud to choose this with On-Prem.) On 100cloud adding 1 more Report Manager is $600/yr, 2 Viewers would be $240/yr, and Connector would be $360/yr., so total is $1,200/yr. At the 1 -2 company bundle you would save. If the amounts are close, the subscription bundle also may make sense, so you don't have to think about how many licenses you have, thus saving time. This is all dependent on whether SI is going to be the standard report writer long term, which I have heard rumors it may not be . . . And, of course, Sage may figure out that the SI subscription bundle is too good a deal and discontinue that. By the way, for the reseller, SI bundles are great for tier additions: $1,782, $2,322 and $3,582 for the three levels based on 2-year calc. Not sure if they will calc for 2019 based on 3 years.

After looking at what I wrote - why does Sage make this so complex???

THANK YOU JOHN! The pricing reminds me of running through a maze. I'm curious about the possibility that SI might not be the standard report writer in the future. I use Power BI, and Microsoft is putting a lot of development to make it a standard in the industry. I'm still learning SI, so I will have a better idea in a month what differentiates SI from the other BI tools available
