Sage Intelligence v2018. Client getting ""The Report Designer Component is Required"". As per article 34773, this is fixed by running as administrator. This requires an administrator password and the IT guy is freaking out about this. He demands to know exactly what rights to what folders are needed. The article does not provide this information. Does anyone have the answer?

generally, I would uninstall wksetup, turn off UAC, run wksetup with right click run as admin, then give users 'modify' rights to the BI* folders (4-5 of them) in c\programfilesx86\common files. that generally takes care of it. if still problems, check trust center in Excel and also make sure the addins are added in Options/addins in Excel

oh, if Advanced, I also give modify to users on the Sage folder (c:\Sage)

Well I went through the environmental requirements very carefully, but no luck. The client called Sage directly, and someone there fixed in in a few seconds using something called ""BI Tools"". I was not on the call so I don't know what they did. Any ideas?
