Sage Intelligence v2014 Report Designer. I have a client with a sizeable amount of GL data, and have created Excel workbooks with 14+ worksheets. My experience is that as the workbook reaches a certain size, Excel starts to crash with ""Error 462 BiCore"" when generating through Sage Intelligence Report Manager/Viewer. My research shows this has something to do with Macros, but I have removed all non SI macros and it still happens. Does anyone know anything about this and how to resolve? I have tried splitting the reports, but the client is not happy with this approach - they want everything in one. Very Urgent. FYI we are NOT using the Connector only the Designer.

You can add a filter to the sub reports to limit the amount of data transferred to the worksheets. Perhaps they only need the last 2 years of GL data.

hi Jon, are the 14+ sheets all connected to the main data sheet? or are they interdependent like sheet3 is based off data on sheet2 and sheet 2 draws data from the main data sheet generated by SI?

Thanks for your quick replies Bill, and Marc. Bill, in this case, the client is looking at 5 years of history but I would like to filter out anything else. Can you point me in the right direction on how to do that? Marc, each sheet stands on its own using the GLActual formulas, although there is a main tab where users can select year, period, and location and all tabs filter based on that. Does that mean anything?

You may need to toggle hidden reports to see the sub reports. Each report is run as an independent report with the same options as a standard report. Highlight the report and add the filter accordingly. Only certain reports will have date fields, though.

Also, if you aren't using budgets, remove the budget sub report. That solved a lot of problems for one of my clients.
