  • 1.  Sage Intelligence Templates

    HI All,
       I first have to say I do not design reports in SI.  I do however help with technical issues getting SI to work correctly. I have a client that just did a platform change from Advance to Premium.  They have a whole bunch of saved Excel templates and apparently they access these and run updates in Excel.  Again, I don't actually use it generally and with this client they have not given us a licence for Excel so I cannot open the files to see what is going on. (really great).
        Does anyone know if there is a way within Excel to update the SI connection?   I'm not finding anything and Sage seems to say it is not possible.

    Bob,

    I did a Sage 100 Standard to Premium about two years ago and went through a very similar process. From memory I just exported out the Sage Intelligence reports from their Standard and imported into Premium. I had very few issues though that could have been because the reports were simple, etc. I had not designed reports so don't know how complex they were. I expected to have a LOT more trouble than I did.

    Hi Wayne,
      That is exactly what I did.  However there are hundreds of Excel Template files that are not specifically linked to a report.  I THINK that they would generate the Excel file and then in Excel save a "version" of it with a date.    Those are what the issue is with.  It is so frustrating that I cannot open them to even see if I can figure it out.
