    Hi
Anyone have a tried/true process to upgrade/migrate reports (consolidated/multi company) from Providex to Premium?
    v2016 to v2018?
Key words - providex to premium?

    Thanks

I have a customer in this situation asking about moving Sage 100 Standard to Premium and how/whether Sage Intelligence will still work.

@Nancy Hanson can you elaborate on what needed to happen on the Sage Intelligence side?

    HI Wayne
I believe Sage told me we should be able to export/import the reports.  I don't have good luck with the export/import process to begin with so rarely use it for any upgrade.
My process is to take copy a Premium Report Designer to the custom folder to unlock it and rename it, then open the Excel Template (.xltx) and save it to the unlocked Report Designer.  In essence, I get a new Designer.  It can be time consuming if there are a lot of reports/folders.
Almost always though in going to Premium, I run into the Tenant Cache problem of duplicate data due to the MAS90 4.0 ODBC Driver creeping back in.
It would be interesting to see if a registry cleaner used on each workstation after uninstalling Standard Sage would remove any remnants of the MAS90 4.0 ODBC Driver.  Haven't tried this yet.

    Thanks!
Is there a noticeable speed difference for users when they transfer Sage Intelligence from a Providex to SQL database?

My most recent user did see a noticeable difference.  However, it was a hosted environment to a local environment.  Memory and current operating systems (not a 2008 R2) on the Sage server is really important.

Can you elaborate a little more on how you make this migration of Sage Intelligence from Sage 100 Standard to Premium? I have a customer who I am working on just such a migration very soon and would love to be able to save some time by following someone's roadmap.

    Hi Wayne
I believe Sage says you can export from the old and import to the new even in a Standard/Advanced to Premium.  However, I generally will copy a new Report Designer Template to the customer folder and rename (in SI RM), then open the old Template in excel and do a Save Template to the new Report Designer Report.
The problems, if any, appear to be in the Cache area with the old ODBC driver showing up causing problems with duplicate data.  Sage claims there is a machine using SI that still has the old ODBC connection going on.
