I have an upgrade going to Sage 100 2019 Premium. They use VDI for virtual desktops.

For Sage Intelligence (which they largely installed on the prior version themselves) they constantly have to enter the Network Repository Path. I'm told that's because with VDI their system/workstation gets setup fresh on every login.

Has anyone had very specific experience with VDI based installs to know if there's a way around this?

I have provided all relevant documents regarding required security permissions via the Sage KB. This is a high-security environment with sophisticated IT and processes so suggestions to just open up user rights broadly are not greeted happily by them. Some of the Sage documentations on running SI in Citrix is embarrasingly old ( I think it dates to 2012).

I have encountered this situation and could not provide a workaround other than to tell IT to make those with SI (or the accounting dept in general) static machines which they did.  I believe (but not sure) it's more costly for IT in the licensing to have static which is why my client went to dynamic in the first place.  Didn't work out so well!
We did try the method of users just entering the path themselves but then you run into a licensing issue and the previous machine's license had to be deleted and registration performed on the new one which is not a good situation.

Thanks, Nancy. It seems like a poor overall customer experience to have this type of limitation. We are going to see more and more of this type of virtual machine usage and if Sage Intelligence doesn't play nice and/or continues to be poorly documented then I can't see how we can continue recommending SI.

SI does need some TLC/Updating done.  It has it's place, but I agree with you there.
