Sage Intelligence NOT launching from within Sage 100 vers. 2016, 2015, 2014
I just ran into this issue where SI would not launch from within Sage100 (above versions). Sage has known of this issue for over a year but it hasn't been a priority in Engineering. Sage's workaround was to create a desktop icon to launch SI (one for each feature: Report Manager, Viewer, Connector, License Manager, Security). Not good for the end user (in my opinion). After some work with our programmers and a little detective work, we found that it is caused by a corrupted DLL. **The guilty party, in our case was: C:\Program Files\Common Files\BIComponentsDotNet\ComBridge4\AlchemexCOM4.DLL.**
I replaced it with a known good one and everything launched successfully from with Sage100. Sage now has a new KB article.
