If it isn't scheduled, I had gotten around this by creating my own VB Script (Macro) to do it. The customer had different sheets that were to be delivered to different locations that they wanted the date stamp included. This allowed folder with each week's file that was distributed.
Not sure if you can get it to work as a scheduled task but I would think you could if you set it to run the macro as part of the generating of the report.

The question is for File Distribution, not email.
Odd that file distribution doesn't have the ability to use cell references.

With Sage Intelligence you can have cell references. you can pull in a particular cell or a range of cells from the excel worksheet. Cell references can be used in the body of the email, or in the to, CC or BCC and Subject of the email. When in the header line you should be able to insert by right-clicking and select the insert > Cell Reference. You should also be able to use it in other places of the distribution instructions like the file name.
