  • 1.  Sage Intelligence error 462

    Client is getting "Error 462 The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable" during the Naming Ranges part of their reports for ONE company.  I took a report that worked in a different company, copied it over, and ran it in this company and same error.  Balance Sheet, IS, IS with budget - made a copy and took everything off except a few lines of IS and still same error.

    I've rebuilt all files in GL and resorted.  I'm sure it's data-related, but not sure where else to look.  Anyone run into this?

    Make sure that there aren't any tabs/worksheets grouped within the report.
    Have you tried copying the designer template to the folder, open in designer and then open the bad template and doing a 'save excel template' to save to the new designer template?
    Try running the report with a blank excel workbook open.  - I would actually try this option first.
    I've found the 'need to have Excel open' is a hit/miss by enivronment.  Sometimes by report.
    Make sure there are no Excel Processes in task manager after you close Excel.
