  • 1.  Sage Intelligence - drill down to transaction level

    Posted 04-15-2022 10:04
I have a client building her own Sage Intelligence financials (income statement/balance sheet).  She is asking about the ability to drill down from an account to the transaction level. I build a lot of financials in SI and no one ever asks for this.  I've searched and only found posts from many years ago that tell me to right-click the cell and choose 'drill-down'.  Doing that ends up giving me a message to 'Please select a cell which has a supported formula to drill down'.  Not very helpful.  Anyone have suggestions on how to handle this or if it is even possible?  Thanks!

What's the formula in the cell you are trying to drill down on? Is it a SI reserved formula such as 'GLActual" ?

    Yes.  Example:  =@GLActualYTD($B8,$C$2,GLCurrentPeriod($C$1),$C$1,,,,$C$4,,,,,) * -1

What's the "@" for between the "=" and "GLActual"?  Here's a formula I use that the drill down works on:  =GLActual("300?-??-??",LEAD!B$1,LEAD!B$2,LEAD!B$3)

You might try hard coding the GLCurrentPeriod or referencing it in a lead sheet for testing to see if that solves the issue.  SI might get confused with the nested reserved words.

The @ was in her fromula.  However, the trick was to use a parameter sheet, as you suggested.  Then it worked just like it was supposed to.  Thanks so much!
