  • 1.  Sage Intelligence Bundle

    My customer purchased the $129 Sage Intelligence Bundle.
    When they login it shows 3 users for Report Manager, Viewer, Designer - when I believe it's supposed to be unlimited.

    Is there a procedure that needs to be used to increase these user counts? Apparently Sage told them that it's 3 and they didn't have to key in any new registration codes.

    The order form clearly says unlimited users so I don't think it's a misunderstanding on our part.

    I tried calling the Sage Sales Advisors and I get to the famed "everyone's in a meeting - please call back later, goodbye".

    $129 = 3 companies, not 3 users.  I sell the subscriptions all the time.  But Sage doesn't (LOL), so they may not have generated the keys properly.

    Since Sage apparently can't generate an unlimited key, I am not sure why Sage wouldn't default the number of SI users to the number of licensed Sage 100 users. 

    In this case, the user had 15 Sage 100 users and Sage issued 3 licenses for Sage Intelligence.

    Customer called and flipped then naturally shot me an angry email.
    I hadn't even seen the order processing paperwork so had no clue what Sage processed or charged them.
    Turns out the order was processed at the proper $$ but the number of keys seems to be entered subject to whatever number the data entry person feels like giving.


    PS - @Rhonda McNamara - Can this SI subscription be billed other than monthly? The customer wanted to pay annually but Sage said monthly only for SI subscription. This seems odd since Sage looks to prefer annual payment everywhere else.

    We have a bunch of clients with the SI subscription and the license keys are always for 999.  If your client got less than that Sage screwed up the keys.

    I've never asked and never heard if the SBI subscription can be annual.  But I have seen that making annual 100c payments by check became possible at some point, to my surprise.  So, it wouldn't hurt to ask.
    I agree it would make their lives easier, but I imagine it muddies the waters where a potentially discounted total amount and the tier calculation are concerned, which would mean someone would have to approve it, and a policy made, yada yada yada.
